Depending on the size and place of your event, you may need to make an atlas event registration or get in contact with other MIT administration such as CAC, DAPER, dorm HOHs and so on.

To reserve a CAC space, you must visit the scheduling site here. You will need to either log into the East Campus account or your hall account. For access to the EC-wide account, please reach out to either ec-exec or soccom. Otherwise, reach out to your hall chairs for access to your individual hall accounts, and if you are a hall chair and do not know how to access your hall CAC account, then reach out to either ec-exec or soccom.

CAC spaces also fill up really quick! You should submit your reservation 30+ days in advance, although for smaller rooms, it may be alright to do it 1-2 weeks in advance.  If you have any questions or need additional help then you can either email cacscheduling@mit.edu, walk in the CAC office on the 5th floor of the Stud, or email ec-exec.

Reserving a space during renovations

Hiyah EC!

Do you want to throw an event for East Campus?!?!? Yippee!

Ec exec and houseteam love seeing you all host events for our community, and we want to make sure that process is as easy as possible for you all. Two of the most important yet confusing parts about throwing events nowadays are space reservations and atlas registrations. Ergo, here is all the information you need to know about them:)

Depending on the size and place of your event, you may need to make an atlas event registration or get in contact with other MIT administration such as CAC, DAPER, dorm HOHs and so on.

When do I need to register an event on Atlas? If there will be an expected attendance of 100 MIT participants or more If alcohol will be served If more than 20% of participants are not members of the MIT community If events are cosponsored with a non-MIT partner If minors will participate If money is exchanged If your event is taking place in a CAC, DAPER, or another dorm’s space

Also it is important to know that Atlas registrations should be submitted within 2 weeks notice of your event. Depending on the nature, it may be pertinent to submit it even earlier.

What/Where are CAC spaces? And how do I reserve them? Campus Activities Complex (CAC) spaces are most of MIT’s multipurpose areas. Most notably, these places include the Stud (W20), Lobby 13, the Stata Center, Kresge, and more which you can find a list of here.

What/Where are DAPER spaces? And how do I reserve them?
