Attendance: all here

Rush was awesome, wasn’t horrifically over budget If you have Rush receipts that you still have, give them to arwest, mbollini, or ithron if you want to get reimbursed

2e violated rush alcohol rules, they will not get SocComm funding for the first month of term.

Early return prosecution: if you know craven or Arin Rogers and know what they were doing during Rush, talk to ithron immediately, because they were early returns and weren’t helping out and are at risk of getting charged for early return housing

Run for EC UA senator, so far we only have 1 candidate for two spots.

Responsibility of a senator: making sure other senators aren’t stupid, budgeting stuff. Time commitment = 2-3 hours per week

If you have questions about, being a senator, ask maggied, ostro or vinayak

The senate application packet is available at: http://web/ainsleyb/Public/Elections%20FA08/Senate%20Packet%20FA08.doc

We got a free movie from attendance for Iron Man, each hall should send their top 3 movie choices to vinayak, list of movies at lsc.mit.edu

Police saw seemingly suspicious activity involving a fridge on the 5^th floor fire escape and a tarp. Police not happy. Please try to do any sort of potentially stupid things you feel you must do outside of EC, so EC doesn’t get in trouble

Administrators did not like The Daily Confusion, but they don’t want our culture to infringe on other people. If you want to do something that would only be acceptable at East Campus, only do it at East Campus. If you are unsure of how dumb something you want to do is, ask someone older.

La Verde’s used to be open 24 hours during term, now are closed 3 AM to 6:30 AM. Suggestion box broke, new suggestion box for Verde’s will be made by carmel, amyqian and ostro

If you’re going to have a party, make sure you register it. Also, make sure you email the dorm and poster or you may not get reimbursed. SocComm will match up to $100 for interhall feeds. Each hall must have a FAC, you get up to $100, if you don’t have one, your hall will be fined.

For people with loud noise concerns, whether it’s in the courtyard, for a party, etc, first course of action should be talking to the person or the GRT on your hall, if problem persists, contact the housemasters or ec-exec. It’s much better to deal with things internally than to go to administration or DormCon’s JudComm.

It would be nice to move the bikes out of the bikeroom to the smaller room (checkered floor room) to have the bigger room open for parties. carmel is now co-bikecomm.

ToolComm say: talk to ToolComm if you currently have EC tools, email amyqian, it’s fine to be using them and holding on to them, but ToolComm should know where they are

DiningComm: Potential for more useful shuttle going to Star. ostro is setting up an advisory committee for Stata Dining, email him if you want to be on it

AVComm: speakers have been fixed

JockComm: last term we only got 1 fine, so we can do sports again this year. varenc is going to send out an email of sports we may take part in, email him you’re interested

CatComm: make sure your screen is down is if you live on a cat floor and your window is up. Talk to joeg is you don’t have a screen

HouseComm will be moved back to Wednesday at 10pm, starting in 2 weeks, which will be the budget meeting, if you are a Comm, make sure you send a budget request to arindone BEFORE THE MEETING.

joeg and SocComm are having a concert on September 27^th . Two people to be in charge of September 27^th concert: build a stage, do e-33 a/v, get food from somewhere, talk with bands, talk with joeg, talk with grounds office ConcertComm nominations: natech, amyqian, cmerrill, sarahdee they all win

HouseComm over.
